Endodontist | Lecturer | Author 

Dr. Short is a board-certified endodontist, author, speaker, and expert spokesperson on Endodontics for the American Dental Association (ADA).

Dr. Short attained his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 1999. In 2002 he earned his post doctorate degree in Endodontics from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Short became a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics in 2009. His private practice, Apex Endodontics P.C, was opened in 2004 in Smyrna, Georgia.

Dr. Short is a member of the Fellow International College of Dentists, a graduate of the ADA Institute of Diversity In Leadership Program, and an ADA Success Speaker. He is also an endodontics consultant to the Georgia Board of Dentistry and an assistant clinical professor at The Dental College of Georgia in Augusta. Dr. Short is an independent national lecturer and is endorsed by the American Association of Endodontists speaker’s bureau.

Dr. Short is published in several journals, including Dentistry Today (cover, April 2013), Inside Dentistry, UpScale Magazine, Rolling Out Magazine, and the Journal of Endodontics. He has also authored two books “Getting To The Root Of Your Problem” and “In The Eye Of A Storm.”

Dr. Short's robust social media series focusing on endodontic case studies (The SHORT Case Of The Day) has a worldwide following of more than 100,000 dentists.

Dr. Short was named one of the Top 40 Dentists in America under 40 (Incisal Edge Magazine 2013), as well as one of the Top 20 Alumni Under 40 by Augusta University, and he's consistently regarded as one of the top leaders in continuing education by Dentistry Today.

It is the policy of Vista Apex that all speakers at any program offered by Vista Apex, who have a personal interest or financial investment in a company or product, abide by the following:

While it is permissible to mention a product or company in an educational course, the speaker shall avoid distributing any handout material that includes a company name, address, and phone number, or any material that could be construed as pushing or actively attempting to sell a particular product or company.

The speaker is prohibited from displaying their products anywhere except in the exhibit hall, but the speaker may make reference to such an exhibit.

No Vista Apex Salesperson may be present at the lecture or online course without prior written consent from the CE Committee. Such requests must be submitted to Vista Apex 1 month prior to the course date.
