Dr. John Kanca
Dr. John Kanca, III is a graduate of the University Of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He maintains a private practice in Middlebury, CT, with emphasis on cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Kanca has published over 50 original articles and abstracts in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Kanca’s work has revolutionized the field of adhesive dentistry. He gave validation to etching of dentin with phosphoric acid, proved that resins can be used as pulp capping agents, discovered the concept known as wet-bonding and has contributed significantly to the understanding of how resins attach to dentin. His latest work involves the proper method of initiating light-activated resin composites and has created the protocol known as pulse activation.
Dr. Kanca has received many honors, including the Gordon Christensen Award, the Albert Knab Award, the William Gies Award, the Larry Pearson Award, and the outstanding Achievement Award. Dr. Kanca is an active member of the AAED and has lectured at every major meeting in the United States and around the world.

It is the policy of Vista Apex that all speakers at any program offered by Vista Apex, who have a personal interest or financial investment in a company or product, abide by the following:
• While it is permissible to mention a product or company in an educational course, the speaker shall avoid distributing any handout material that includes a company name, address, and phone number, or any material that could be construed as pushing or actively attempting to sell a particular product or company.
• The speaker is prohibited from displaying their products anywhere except in the exhibit hall, but the speaker may make reference to such an exhibit.
• No Vista Apex Salesperson may be present at the lecture or online course without prior written consent from the CE Committee. Such requests must be submitted to Vista Apex 1 month prior to the course date.

Technology Requirements
- Internet: Preferably a high-speed wired connection. Many wireless internet connections are also sufficient, though connectivity may fluctuate during the live event.
- Audio: Computer speakers, headphones, or earbuds that are compatible with your computer.
- Backup Audio: A reliable telephone, or a conference phone when participating as a team. If you have audio difficulties, contact Technical Help within the live event.
